University of Malaya Seminar

A seminar organized by Faculty of Arts and Science, University of Malaya for its Southeast Asian Studies students. The main speaker, Dr. John Hartley of Pathways for Mutual Respect, will deliver a talk on "Religious Exclusivism and Social Harmony."  This seminar is a prelude to the upcoming 2018 Pathways Institute (PI), hosted in the region.  Lecturing alongside him are PI alumni, The Blue Ribbon's Ms. Norani and Dr. Ayi Yunus of Peace Generation.  They will be speaking on "The Role of Civil Society in Creating an Inclusive and Peaceful Community."

Peace & Diversity Training

The Blue Ribbon will be holding its peace and diversity training, Peace Ambassador's Workshop (PAW), for youth leaders from Malaysia and Singapore and teachers from the United Nations refugee learning centers in Malaysia. The refugees hail from Myanmar, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, and beyond.

Peace Ambassadors Workshop

This will be the 5th PAW run in Singapore since 2014.  It's interactive workshop focuses on understanding diversity and living out the values that create peace in ourselves and our community.  The curriculum covers the 12 Lessons of Peace, as adapted from one of our partners, Peace Generation, Indonesia. Young Peacemakers Conference

Connect, Converse, Contribute for the Common Good On 4 February 2018, young adults from around South East Asia are gathering for peace.  The one-day event will equip the region's next generation of leaders to build peace in themselves, their communities, and the world. The conference, held in Kuala Lumpur, is organized in partnership with The Blue Ribbon, Pathways for Mutual Respect, and other key supporters.  It coincides with World Interfaith Harmony Week and the Pathways Institute.
